How to set up your Clubpicks golf pool
Create a golf pool in minutes. Whether you prefer salary cap strategy or tier-based drafting, Clubpicks handles the complexity so you can enjoy the tournament.

The commissioner sets the competition and explains the rules. Members submit their own picks. Clubpicks checks roster requirements and calculates standings from the available tournament data.
1. Create the right competition
Choose a supported event for one pool, or create a league with a shared schedule. Review ways to play before choosing a season format. A pool covers one tournament; creating one does not automatically create a season league.
2. Publish the settings you actually chose
Set roster requirements, scoring, cut penalty, tie handling and pick visibility. Recommended settings are only a starting point. Customize tiers before submissions where possible: changing tier requirements after teams exist can require the commissioner to clear those teams so members re-pick.
3. Invite the group with costs and a deadline
Share the invitation and a completed rules sheet. Invited members join for free. Single pools have their own software price; league creation is free, but a Season Pass is needed to invite league members. Check the plans.
4. Confirm a submitted team before lock
Members sign in, join and select a legal roster. A salary-cap team must satisfy both the cap and minimum pick count; a tier team must meet each tier’s requirement. Picks lock at the event’s first tee time, not each golfer’s individual start. Check the displayed deadline and confirm submission on the team page.
5. Understand hidden picks and field changes
Hidden-until-start keeps other members’ picks out of view before play. Commissioner viewing/editing access is a separate setting. Check withdrawals before lock; do not promise automatic replacements. Late additions to early tiers may need commissioner placement before they can be selected.
6. Follow live standings, then confirm final results
Scores update automatically during tournament play, but source delays and corrections can occur. Prize-money projections are not final earnings. Wait for finalized event results before treating standings as final, and use the scoring explanations to resolve questions.

Best for casual groups
Start with six tiers and one pick from each. Initial tiers follow player salaries, with DataGolf rank breaking ties. Commissioners can customize tier sizes and picks before play begins.

Salary Cap
Best for competitive groups
The recommended setup is at least six golfers within a $50,000 budget. Balance expensive players with lower-cost picks. Your commissioner sets the cap and minimum roster size.
