The Players 2026 event has concluded. Use this guide to choose your rules and explain them to your group. When the next event and field are available on Clubpicks, you can create that tournament pool.

How to plan your The Players pool

Start with the rules your group will use, then make your picks from the available field. Choose a single-event pool or connect events in a league. League creation is free; inviting league members requires a Season Pass. Review pricing before sharing your plans with the group.

What to decide for The Players Championship

The Players Championship is a PGA Tour event at TPC Sawgrass. It is not one of the four men’s major championships.

Choose a standalone Players pool or add the event to a custom league schedule. The four-major schedule excludes The Players; choose the optional five-event schedule if you want to add it. A fifth event is not a fifth major.

If you choose prize-money scoring, explain that golfers’ tournament earnings determine the pool result. Those earnings are scoring data, not money Clubpicks collects or pays to members.

Verify the current field, venue and championship rules with Official Players Championship information. The tournament’s cut rule determines who continues; your pool’s penalty setting determines how missed rounds affect your team.

Commissioner checklist

  1. Choose a tier draft for a structured selection, or a salary cap for more freedom to balance stars and value picks.
  2. Confirm the event and available players in your pool before asking anyone to submit a team.
  3. Share the roster requirements, displayed first-tee lock time and time zone, scoring rules, and missed-cut and withdrawal treatment with every member.
  4. Check that members have submitted their teams before play begins. Use the pool leaderboard to follow the competition.

    Salary Cap

    Best for competitive groups

    The recommended setup is at least six golfers within a $50,000 budget. Balance expensive players with lower-cost picks. Your commissioner sets the cap and minimum roster size.
